What this includes

  • Regular visits for conversation and company

  • Flexibility, visits can be an hour, two hours, or longer

When everyday tasks become difficult, home can start to feel overwhelming.

We help with the practical things, tidying, cleaning, laundry, and changing beds, so that home stays a comfortable, dignified place to be.

What this includes

  • Light housework, hoovering, dusting, wiping surfaces

  • Washing, drying, ironing, and putting away laundry

Getting out & about

Staying connected to the outside world makes a real difference.

We accompany people to appointments, social events, shops, or simply a walk around the park, wherever they want to go.

What this includes

  • Accompaniment to medical appointments (GP, hospital, dentist)

  • Trips to the shops, post office, or bank

  • Social outings, cafes, community groups, places of worship

  • Walks and gentle outdoor activities

  • Help with public transport or driving to and from destinations

  • Support to maintain social connections and independence

How does it work?

Every Oakma carer meets a high bar before they visit a single client, and we keep setting that bar higher.

    Give us a call or fill in our short form. We'll have an initial chat to understand your situation. No obligation, no pressure.

    We visit you at home

    One of our team comes to meet you (or your loved one) at home for a free assessment.

    We'll talk through what support would help, get to know preferences and routines, and answer any questions.

  3. 3

    We build a plan together

    Based on our conversation, we put together a care plan that fits, the right support, at the right times, with the right person. You'll review it before anything starts.

  4. 4

    Care begins

    Your matched carer introduces themselves and support starts. We check in regularly to make sure everything's working well.

How much does it cost?

Costs vary depending on your situation, the type of support needed, how often, and for how long.

As a guide, most of our clients pay between £23 and £28 per hour.
