We started Oakma because we believe home care can be better, for the people who receive it and the people who deliver it.

Our story

Our founder saw first-hand what inconsistent, impersonal care does to a family. Not just to the person receiving it, but to everyone around them.

We set out to do it differently.

What we believe

We believe it doesn't have to be this way. When you look after the people delivering care, pay them fairly, give them proper training, and treat them as professionals, the care they give is better.

When you keep things local and personal, you receive the best care.

What we're building

Oakma is a small care agency with big standards. We're starting right here in Telford because we know this community.

We're keeping our team small so that every client gets genuine attention, and every carer feels supported.

What we stand for

Doing things differently is not just a phrase. It comes down to four things we believe every care provider should be able to say.

    We want your carer to be someone you actually look forward to seeing.

  • Our team receives proper training, regular supervision, and a manager who's actually available.

    We'll be upfront about costs. If something isn't working, we want to hear about it, and we'll fix it.

  • We're based in Telford and our carers live locally.

    We're not a national franchise, we're your neighbours, looking after your neighbours.
